The 860 DSPr is a rack-mounted and browser accessible remote signal analyzer that is designed to provide continuous access to signal analysis at remote hubs or headends. The analyzer is connected to up to four different test points that need to be accessed via browser for analysis or routinely tested. The complete range of tests offered by the 860 DSP can be performed remotely, including Level, QAM (constellation, EQ, BER over time), Spectrum Analysis, Tilt, Scan, Hum, C/N, Depth of Modulation, FM Deviation, and optional VITS and VSB test modes.

The impulse BER function detects and counts individual lost packets. As a troubleshooting aid, BER data is displayed with values and a convenient graph that shows how pre and post BER changes over a user-settable interval. This allows a user to see bit errors occurring at regular intervals, which may help to determine the ingress or other interference source.

Options

  • Vestigial Side Band Modulation Option (VSB)

    When installed in an 860 DSPr, this option allows the operator to connect an off air antenna to the 860 DSPr input port and read Level, MER, BER, and view Constellation and Equalizer Tap Information on 8 VSB and 16 VSB channels.

  • Vertical Interval Test Signals Option (VITS)

    When installed in an 860 DSPr, this option allows headend technicians to view Vertical Interval Test Signals (VITS), which are inserted during the vertical synchronization interval of analog video, and specify lines for testing. The option enables the technician to measure differential phase, differential gain, and chroma delay.

  • TraffiControl Option (TC-1)

    When installed in an 860 DSPi, this Option provides a way to troubleshoot upstream ingress and noise problems within active channel bands by seeing the ingress that is present “underneath” an upstream cable modem channel, or any bursty signal. REQUIRES POWER PACK OPTION.

    Product Image

    Server application enables a proprietary connection with the 860 DSP, 860 DSPi, and 860 DSPr analyzers for communication and testing Packet Loss, Latency, Jitter and MOS of VoIP services using the 860 DSP, 860 DSPi, and 860 DSPr. Includes separate pass/fail results for forward and return path troubleshooting. In addition to the VoIP tests, this software enables high speed throughput tests using the 860 DSPi with speeds up to 40 Mbps, and can also be used as a ping test reflector. Located as close as possible to the PSTN gateway to ensure optimal testing that includes only the cable network. Runs on minimal hardware configuration (service is time sensitive, so it takes priority over other applications). REQUIRES ETHERNET UPGRADE KIT (CI-4) PLUS an EXTERNAL CABLE MODEM for the 860 DSP.

Repairs

All repairs carry a 90-day warranty against defects in replacement parts and repair workmanship.

Products

All Trilithic products are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a minimum of one year after shipment.

Trilithic's obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the product after being returned to our factory, and Trilithic determining the product be indeed defective.

This is Trilithic's sole warranty and is given in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and sets forth the buyers sole remedy.
