Viewer II and ADIA Integrated Server Package includes powerful software applications and hardware to provide a tailored, comprehensive solution for managing return path spectrum data and trap management specifically designed for ingress management and troubleshooting in large territories overseen by a NOC (Network Operations Center).

In addition to Microsoft® 2003 Server and SQL Server, the server hardware comes pre-configured with Viewer II and ADIA server software.

Viewer II

View, troubleshoot and manage your return path data.

Viewer II allows the operator to display, sort and manage SNMP traps and to see a live-view display that shows the current spectra of selected nodes. It also enables the operator to select resolution bandwidths, displayed frequency span, detector modes and other characteristics for 9581 SST-R4 units in the hubs or headends.

ADIA

The ADIA Integrated Server Package for ingress analysis and testing is designed for efficient historical analysis of upstream performance over periods as long as a year.

ADIA is Trilithic's ingress analysis application, specifically designed for convenient and efficient historical analysis of upstream performance over periods as long as a year. ADIA collects summarized ingress data from Guardian II installations in hubs and headend, building a data base that can be used for analysis of:

  • Persistence and severity of ingress outbreaks over time
  • Recurring and long-term intermittent ingress problems on selected nodes
  • Suitability of frequencies and bands to carry services

The ADIA analysis server provides all of the recommended tools, as specified in the NCTA Standard Practices, for evaluating a return path in terms of performance to limits and for tracking changes in performance over time. Using Trilithic’s ADIA engineers can quickly determine, over specified intervals within selectable frequency ranges and bands:

The Max/Min/Avg. levels of noise, ingress and traffic levels

Displays the Max, Min and Avg. levels for all frequencies between 375 kHz and 65 MHz.

The Average Discrete Interfering Signal Probability

Calculates the average probability that a node will exceed its thresholds over a user-specified time interval. The ADISP is useful as a “Figure of Merit” test for a node’s overall performance.

Ingress Threshold Probability

Plots % unavailability vs. frequency and threshold for each frequency over a user specified time period.

Specific Frequency Discrete Ingress Probability

Calculates the DISP as the percent of threshold violations for each of the four user thresholds for each time increment.

Specific Channel Discrete Ingress Probability

Similar to Specific Frequency Discrete Ingress Probability, this function allows analysis to be performed in user-selectable bandwidths

ADIA assists in the analysis with graphs, "waterfall" diagrams and tabular results to facilitate recognition of threats and trends. Data for several nodes may be displayed simultaneously, with data for any selected node highlighted. All graphs and reports may be stored and later recalled quickly without requiring the original compressed data to be reloaded.

Optimized for status monitoring in medium to high density node applications and spectrum analysis of the reverse path up to 65 MHz via PCs running Trilithic’s Viewer II software. The 9581 SST R4 provides new combinations of resolution, detector mode and an embedded SNMP agent option while simultaneously supporting return sweep, ingress troubleshooting and continuity testing applications. TraffiControl is included in this release. COMPATIBLE WITH 860 DSPi & RSVP² FIELD UNITS.

Repairs

All repairs carry a 90-day warranty against defects in replacement parts and repair workmanship.

Products

All Trilithic products are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a minimum of one year after shipment to the original purchaser.

Trilithic's obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the product after being returned to our factory, and Trilithic determining the product be indeed defective.

This is Trilithic's sole warranty and is given in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and sets forth the buyers sole remedy.
